Customizing Wind-chimes

Warmer weather means spending more time on the porches and that means sprucing them up a bit to make them more inviting. I have been working on all the porches this past month. So far I have added the DIY Team Spirit door decoration, the Macrame plant hangers  and yesterday I customized the old wind chime.

The stencils I had were paper so I sprayed them with a clear coat varnish to make clean up easier.

I centered the stencil on the black wind catcher of the wind chimes and using a metallic gold outdoor paint I used a stencil brush to dab on the color.

 

I finished by spraying it with a clear outdoor finish.

Now to work on the cushions!
